Here at Cofinitive we’re often told about exciting initiatives, and our latest conversation was about the Enabling Innovation Showcase area, sponsored by Magna International at the Advanced Engineering Conference (the UK’s largest annual gathering of advanced engineering professionals).

As an initiative to support and encourage those newest to the industry, we’re more than happy to spread the word about Advanced Engineering’s “Enabling Innovation Showcase”!

The Enabling Innovation Showcase is specifically aimed at giving the newest and most promising startups and researchers the exposure to present their brand new, mould-breaking and innovative technology. Often the costs associated with exhibiting at large conferences deters and prevents early innovators from being able to participate. But thanks to the, sponsored by Magna International’s sponsorship of the Enabling Innovation Showcase, 50 applicants will have the opportunity to exhibit their up-and-coming work with potential investors and customers, from all engineering sectors.

Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Market need
  • Level of innovation and/or novelty
  • Technical viability

Submissions are welcome from all engineering sectors; but most importantly, applicants need to be bursting with the enthusiasm and ambition that comes with being at the very start of a game-changing idea. Applicants cannot have exhibited at Advanced Engineering before.

The Advancing Engineering Conference is taking place at the National Exhibition Centre on the 1st and 2nd November 2017. The deadline for applying for a place in Enabling Innovation Showcase is 30th September, so get writing your application!
