Manon Raja shortlisted in DevelopHER Awards for Emerging Talent

Cofinitive’s Manon Raja has been shortlisted in the DevelopHER Awards for Emerging Talent, to be announced at an awards ceremony held in Norwich on 28th November.

The DevelopHER Awards aims to raise the profile of women in technology in East Anglia, creating role models to inspire the next generation to become developers, technicians, project managers, testers and digital experts. The Emerging Talent Award celebrates students who will be the next big thing.

Manon joined Cofinitive as a work experience student and with her flair for design, infectious enthusiasm and impact on the business; she quickly became our Digital Media Intern. She left school in June 2018 and has since begun a degree in Media Studies at Anglia Ruskin University.

Her skills have rapidly developed while she has been with us and her contribution to client projects has been invaluable, particularly when it comes to image manipulation and video production.  She also used her work to produce an enviable portfolio to support her university applications and presented it to interviewers. It clearly impressed as she received three unconditional places to study. If this is what she’s capable of after a year of working part time at Cofinitive, while completing her A-level studies, then it is certain Manon will go on to achieve great things.

Manon says of becoming shortlisted

I’m so excited to be nominated for this award. From where I have come, to where I am now has made me so proud of myself to have become shortlisted. I am so grateful to Cofinitive for nominating and believing in me and my ability.

There are three finalists in the Emerging Talent category. The other finalists are Samphire Reeve, a Developer at Tech Marionette and Federica Freddi, a Data Engineering Intern at ARM.

We have to wait until 28th November to find out the result but we are incredibly proud of Manon to have come this far.
