Each year, Computer Weekly publishes the longlist of notable women in UK tech.

We are delighted to announce that our founder and director, Faye Holland has been included in the list for the 4th consecutive year running – one of just 20 inspiring Cambridge tech women to be included on a longlist of 604!

And with good reason.

Faye wears many hats within Cambridge’s famed technology sector, influencing, inspiring and connecting on many different levels, always driving Cambridge’s global reputation as the UK’s centre for Technology, Innovation and Science.

Not only is cofinitive listed in PR Week’s150 Top Agencies rankings but it has also been named No1 PR & communications agency in East Anglia in Business Weekly’s prestigious New Year Honours “Image-Makers” rankings for two consecutive years (2021, 2022).  .

Faye is widely known as the creator and organiser of the influential #21toWatch Technology Innovation Awards, which celebrates and promotes the ever-outstanding talent within our region’s booming Science and Technology industries.

She is also a committed and passionate mentor for future technology entrepreneurs on both the Impulse Programme, which is run out of the University of Cambridge’s Maxwell Centre, and the IGNITE programme, run out of Cambridge Judge Business School. Beyond Cambridge, she also speaks at international events based on her legacy global connections, to inspire the next generation of tech women.

This year Faye featured in an article in Forbes and will shortly be announcing a new initiative to further support Cambridge’s tech innovation ecosystem.

When Computer Weekly launched the first list of UK tech’s most influential women in 2012, it featured only 25 women. However, the list has grown exponentially to include more women each year, as well as a list of Rising Stars and a Hall of Fame designed to showcase both those who are on their way up in the sector, and those who have made a lifetime contribution to tech.

This year’s list has reached the heady heights of 604 women with the Top 50 to be announced at Computer Weekly’s annual diversity in tech event in London on19 October 2022.

Typically, Faye said of this list “I am delighted once again to be on this list. I have spent my entire career in the tech sector so the external recognition is wonderful and I am proud to know many of the women on the list from across the UK. But only 20 women from tech in Cambridge? I don’t think so! We need to make sure this representation increases in 2023.”
