The grey skies of Cambridge gave way for #MondayMotivation today as Cofinitive learnt its entries in the Cambridgeshire Digital Awards are all finalists!

A website is much like a shop front. It’s any visitor or passer-by’s first impression of your organisation. As a shopper would look in the shop window at the products on display, so too do website visitors browse your webpages, look at your images and read your text trying to build an impression of what you offer. A website is nothing without good content, which is inspired by the rest of your strategy.

Websites cannot work in isolation. They are part of a wider communications strategy that starts at the core with things like logos, icons, colours and personality, which then extends out to be as broad as public engagement and social media. All of these aspects are interlinked, and website are a key component – get your website right and it’ll give the right first impression.

So, it is with pleasure that we share our finalist websites!

The first is the ARC-Cambridge website, recognised as a finalist in the B2B Website category. We created the content and brief and partnered with Creative Sponge to deliver this for our client SmithsonHill and are delighted that it, together with its clear and bold look, has been commended by the Cambridgeshire Digital Award judges.

Our next entry is the website we designed and produced for Greener Growth. As a CIC (community interest company) Greener Growth secured funding to take their website to the next level this year, which we were pleased to produce for them. Greener Growth has been announced as a finalist in the School, Education or Charity Website category.

Finally, our very own Cofinitive website is finalist in a whooping three categories: B2B Website, Marketing & Creative Website and the big one, Overall Website. Having recently given our own online shop front an overhaul, we were respectful to the style and format of our founding website yet gave it an uplift in content and functionality.

Keep your fingers crossed! The winners will be announced on November 1st. If you’d like to see the other finalists, click here.
